WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State volleyball student-athlete Abbie Lehman has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for the week of Nov. 10-16.

Lehman, a freshman middle blocker from Newton, Kan., led the Shockers to two wins over the weekend. She averaged 4.83 kills, 0.67 blocks and 5.17 points per set, while hitting .667.

In the three-set win over Evansville, she tied her career-high with 16 kills on 22 swings with no errors and hit .727. She also added a match-high two blocks. In the three-set win over Southern Illinois, she had a match-high 13 kills on 20 swings with just one error and hit .600. She also added a team-high two blocks.

It is the fourth Valley Freshman of the Week honor of the season for Lehman.

Lehman and the Shockers finish up the regular-season at Indiana State and Illinois State Nov. 21-22.
