WICHITA, Kan. – The Missouri Valley Conference released the ESPN portion of its 2014-15 men's and women's basketball telecast schedule, Tuesday
A total of 93 MVC contests will be carried on the ESPN family of networks this season, and at least 17 of them will feature Wichita State teams. That number could still climb, with three additional wildcard games up for grabs.
The MVC is expected to release its MVC TV Network selections later this week.
The WSU men will be frequent faces on national television. Added to the eight non-conference games already booked on ESPN platforms are at least seven additional MVC contests. All of those matchups are scheduled for air on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU or online via ESPN3.
The Shocker women are booked at least twice for telecasts on ESPN3, with a Jan. 2 home date against Indiana State and a Jan. 9 road trip to Missouri State locked in. ESPN3 will air two additional Wildcard games late in the year on Feb. 20 and 27.
WSU and Cox Communications also announced Tuesday that Cox Channel Kansas will produce 14 WSU men's games and three additional women's contents this season, beginning with the men's Nov. 8 exhibition against Northwood (Fla.).
