WICHITA, Kan. – In a release by the Missouri Valley Conference Wednesday, Wichita State sophomore Melanie Jaegers has been awarded the MVC Leadership and Service Award. Jaegers is one of ten MVC student-athletes to receive the award this spring.
Wichita State head coach Kristi Bredbenner reflected on the achievement saying, “It's a great accomplishment for Melanie and our team. It shows that the kids in our program are leaders in the community. Melanie's a good kid and she makes the right decisions in life. It's a great honor for her and our program.”
