WICHITA, Kan.- Lutfiana Budiharto has been named the MVC
Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. She was also
ranked as the No. 99 singles player in the nation in the newly announced ITA
rankings.
The senior from Jakarta, Indonesia went 3-0 in singles
competition on the week, bringing her season record to 9-1. She defeated No. 57
Mary Weatherholt from Nebraska, 0-6, 6-4, 1-0 on Friday. Then, on Sunday,
Lufiana collected her first conference win of the season, defeating Jennie
Hartjes of Creighton, 6-0, 6-2.
The Shockers are back in action this weekend when they
travel to Laramie, Wyo. On Saturday, Mar. 3 at noon to take on
Wyoming. The next day, they will take on Denver University in Denver, Colo. at 1
p.m.
