WICHITA, Kan.- Track and Field Head Coach, Steve Rainbolt,
will celebrate his 55th birthday with a 55k walk-jog fundraiser. The
55k will take place Friday, Nov. 30 in Cessna Stadium from 4pm to midnight.
Rainbolt will walk and jog for the entire eight hour period.
The three teams from next week's intrasquad meet will run a relay race that
will also amount to a 55 k distance.
The student athletes will run alongside coach Bolt starting
at 9pm. Music and a fun atmosphere will help support Rainbolt as he celebrates
his birthday with a 34-mile walk-jog.
The event will benefit the Shocker Track and Field program.
