WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State volleyball coaching staff
and Jesse Torres, WSU's Director of Equipment and Operations, have been
selected for awards by the Wichita State Alumni Association.
The volleyball coaching staff, including head coach Chris
Lamb, assistant coaches Jeff Sanders and RJ Abella, and director of operations
Shannon Lamb will be given the Award of Distinction, while Torres will be
honored with the 2010 Laura Cross Distinguished Service Award.
It is the 55th year that the Wichita State
community will come together for the gala banquet and ceremony to celebrate the
emerald anniversary of the WSU Alumni Association awards program.
The banquet is Thurs., Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Wichita
Marriott.
