The Shockers will also host a winter advanced hitting camp for grades 9th through 12th on January 8th-9th, 2011.  The camp will run from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on January 8th, and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 9th.  The camp will focus on fundamental hitting instruction with drills that will breakdown the parts of the swing, promote proper skill development, enhance power production, and develop effective short game.  All campers will receive a session with the WSU strength and conditioning coach, which will focus on speed and agility training.  They will also have a session with the WSU compliance coordinator pertaining to the NCAA rules and regulations.  And finally, campers will have a sit down session with the WSU coaching staff regarding recruiting rules and how to get noticed by college coaches.  The cost of the advanced hitting camp is $175 with an early registration on or before January 1st, or $185 for late registration and walk-ups.

The Shocks will be hosting winter pitching clinics on February 6th, 2011.  The first session will be for ages 14-18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  The cost of the camp is $75 with an early registration or $85 if registered after January 28th, 2011. The second session will be for ages 9-13 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The cost of the camp is $50 with an early registration or $60 if registered after January 28th, 2011.

And finally, the Shockers will be hosting a six-week "Swing into Spring" softball clinic starting January 31, 2011 and running through March 7, 2011. The clinic will be held every Monday throughout the six-week commitment. The cost of the clinic is $20 a session for each 1 hour session.  Two different session times are available for each Monday. One running from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the other from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
