TULSA, Okla. -- Tiago Espirito Santo will represent Wichita State in the Qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships beginning Monday, Oct. 1 in Tulsa, Okla. Santo went 3-0 in the tournament's Prequalifying draw this weekend.
Santo's first opponent in Sunday's action was Wofford's Andrew Stubbs. Stubbs took the first game of the match, but Santo rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Santo then defeated Middle Tennessee State's Morgan Richard 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.
The Shocker senior will take on William & Mary's Keziel Juneau in the opening match of the qualifying draw Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa.
Meanwhile, teammate Thiago Dos Santos's quest for a berth in the Qualifying draw came up short, as he was defeated by TCU's Kriegler Brink 6-3, 6-1.
