TULSA, Okla. -- Freshmen teammates Adrian Chermaci and Scott McCormick advanced to the Consolation Finals at the ITA Central Regional Championship Saturday in Tulsa. 

 Chermaci opened Saturday's action with a 2-6, 6-2, 10-7 win over Arkansas's Juan Carlos Nunez, then earned a berth in the consolation title match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Brandon Joost, also of Arkansas.

McCormick, meanwhile, defeated St. Louis's Felipe Acosta 6-2, 6-0, then downed Nebraska's Francois Van Impe to advance to the consolation championship.

The two Shockers will go head-to-head in Sunday's Championship match which is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
