As a Senior: In the spring, Chermaci posted a 16-2 record, playing in the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions...Went 6-0 in MVC play, including 2-0 at the MVC Tournament...won his last nine matches of the season...was named to the No. 6 MVC All-Conference team and was named to Valley All-Scholar Athlete team for the third consecutive season.
In the fall, Chermaci defeated Arkansas's Mike Knott 6-1, 6-3; UMKC's Grant Fleming 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 and UMKC's Abdulrahman Alawadhi 6-3, 6-4 at the Razor Racket Invitational...went 2-1 in doubles with Juan Estenssoro at the Razor Racket...defeated in a tough match by Emanuel Brighiu of TCU in the second round at the 2010 ITA Men's All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying Draw.
As a Junior: Posted a 20-12 overall singles record and a 3-2 record in the MVC...played in the No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 positions...Went 2-0 in both singles and doubles at the MVC Tournament...Again teamed up with Vlad Marinescu for the majority of the spring season...Was 12-7 overall in doubles and was paired with Marinescu, Jonathan Obrist and Valentin Mihai...Went 2-0 in doubles with Marinescu at the MVC Tournament...Was named to the Valley All-Scholar Athlete team.
In the fall, Chermaci was 5-5 in singles and 3-3 in doubles.
As a Sophomore:
In the spring, Chermaci posted a 15-9 singles record, playing nearly all matches at the No. 2 position…Went 5-2 in Valley play, including 2-0 at the 2009 MVC Tournament…Teamed up with Vlad Marinescu for the entirety of the spring season where the duo earned a 14-9 record in the No. 1 position and a 5-1 mark in Valley competition. The pair went 1-1 at the 2009 MVC Tournament…Won both MVC Tournament matches in straight sets when he defeated Mpiloenhle Migogo of Indiana State, 6-1, 6-1 and Lucas Waked of Southern Illinois, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4)…Eleven of his 15 singles victories were determined in straight sets…Chermaci and Marinescu twice recorded victories over ranked opponents. The duo defeated Artem Gramma and Ryan Kim of #67 University of the Pacific, 8-5, and Marko Ballok and Ross Cunningham of #29 Tulsa, 8-5...Was named to the Valley All-Scholar Athlete team.
In the fall, Chermaci was ranked No. 12 in the ITA Central Region after posting a 6-4 mark where he defeated #24 Rice’s Christian Saravia in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0, at the Baylor HEB Invitational....Posted a 3-1 mark at the ITA Central Regional where he defeated #13 Tulsa’s Marko Ballok in a three-set thriller, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
As a Freshman:
Posted a 26-7 overall record as a freshman...Went 6-1 at the Wilson/ITA Central Regional Championships, where he defeated players from two nationally-ranked schools, and picked up back-to-back wins against Valley foe Drake...Carded a 2-1 mark at the Shocker Invitational, where he won a three-set decision over Arkansas's Colin Mascall 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (6)...Started the spring dual season with wins in seven-straight wins in matches that were completed..Posted an unblemished 6-0 record in Valley play, including a 6-4, 6-2 win over Drake's Bokang Setshogo...Led Drake's Ricardo Lau 6-3, 2-0, in the championship match of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, but his match was unfinished...Posted an 8-12 overall doubles record...Teamed with Tiago Espirito Santo to defeat #13 Tulsa's Ricardo Soriano and Will Gray, 9-7, at the ITA Central Regional, where the tandem went 2-1.
