MANHATTAN, Kan. - Sara Lungren's second double-double of the day gave Wichita State a sweep of Montana State in the Varney's Kansas State Invitational. The Shockers won by scores of 30-22, 30-16 and 30-18. With the win, WSU improves to 6-1 on the year.
Lungren led WSU with 17 kills, while adding 12 digs and four blocks.
Abby Harsh had 42 assists and seven digs, while
Melissa Granville had 24 digs.
Lindsey Eckenrode was the only other Shocker in double-figure kills with 14.
The Shockers out hit the Bobcats .241 to .053 and totaled 20 more kills than MSU.
Raelene Purnell led MSU with seven kills.
