The Wichita State men's tennis team took on the Troy University Trojans, on Friday March 3 at noon. The Shockers were defeated 5-2, losing some very close matches.

Boris Gubic started the Shockers off defeating Marko Despot, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. Despot was on Wichita States men's tennis team for the 2004 season. Moti Eisikovits followed defeating Diego Martinez, 6-1, 7-5.

Next up was Goran Vujaklija who was defeated at the No. 1 singles spot by Irving Morales, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Augusto Alvarado also lost his match as the No. 3 singles player to Milos Kustudija, 6-0, 6-3. Tiago Espritio Santo was also defeated by Marko Kustudiju, 7-5, 6-3. Thiago Dos Santos followed, losing to Pasqual Duttlinger, 6-4, 6-4.

Vujaklija and Gubic teamed up for the No. 1 doubles team, where they lost to Morales/Despot, 8-4. Alvarado and Eisikovits stepped up defeating Marko Kustudiju/Martinez, 8-4. Santo and Santos were up next, where they fell to Duttlinger/Milos Kustudija, 8-6.

The Shockers will be back in action tomorrow at noon against University of Arkansas- Little Rock, in Little Rock, Ark.
