Shomari Harris was named a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program in August of 2024 and was given the additional title of player development coach in June of 2025.
 

Graduate assistant Shomari Harris comes to Wichita State after serving as assistant women’s basketball coach at Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas.

Prior to Kilgore, she played professional basketball from 2018-22 in El Salvador, Greece and Iran.

Harris played college basketball for Texas A&M Commerce before transferring to Cal State East Bay, where she tied the Pioneers’ single-game three-point field goals record (7).
