Played high school golf at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita...Was a three-time Girls Wichita City League individual champion and finished in the Top-10 each of the past two seasons at the Kansas High School tournament...Murphy was a medalist at both the 2010 Kansas State and Regional golf tournaments.

Born on September 28, 1992 in Wichita...Daughter of Todd and Stephanie Murphy...Has two younger brothers Kirk and Grayson...Is majoring in health science at Wichita State...Chose Wichita State for the golf coaches and the girls on the team are nice and it seemed to be the right fit for her.
