2011 (SENIOR) - INDOOR- Pole vaulted in six meets for the Shockers...Finished with a season-best mark of 16-0 3/4 at the MVC Indoor Championships, to finish tied for sixth...OUTDOOR - Competed in three meets for Wichita State...Posted a season-best mark of 15-5 at the Arkansas Twilight.

2011 (JUNIOR) - INDOOR - Competed in the pole vault in six meets for the Shockers...Set a personal best mark of 16'^3/4" at the Kansas State Open and finished second in the event...OUTDOOR - Competed in five meets in the pole vault for the Shockers...Finished a season-best second place at the BCS Buster Invitational (15'7^1/4")...Set a personal best at the MVC Championships with a pole vault of 16'1^1/4".

2010 (SOPHOMORE): INDOOR - Had a season best vault of 15' 3 ^1/2" at the WSU Invitational to place seventh...Was eighth in the vault at the Shocker Quad (15') and at the Air Force Invitational (15' 1")...OUTDOOR - Was a season-best seventh overall in the pole vault at the K.T. Woodman Classic, clearing 14' 10 ^1/4"...Came in eighth in the pole vault at the Sooner Open with a season-best mark of 15' 2 ^1/4".

2009 (SOPHOMORE): Redshirted both indoor and outdoor seasons.

2008 (FRESHMAN): INDOOR - Finished fourth at the MVC Championships in the pole vault, clearing an indoor-best height of 15' 9 ^1/4"...Placed eighth at the Jayhawk Classic (14' 10")...OUTDOOR - Placed seventh at the MVC Championships in the pole vault, clearing a career best of 16' ^3/4"...Also cleared 16' ^3/4" at the Oregon Relays to placed first in the ‘B’ section...Finished second at the Emporia State Relays (15' 7") and third at the Tulsa Duels (15' 1").

Bishop Carroll HS: Won pole vault at state as a sophomore...Holds school and GWAL record in pole vault...Three-time city league pole vault champ...Lettered in track, diving, and football.

Personal: Born Aug. 24, 1988...Son of Marvin and Michelle Steffen...Undecided on a major.
