2013 (Freshman): Indoor- Did not compete Outdoor- Won the javelin at the Track-It-Buster Invitational (205-10).  Launched the ninth farthest javelin throw in WSU history with his 213-4 toss at the KT Woodman Classic. Earned second place at both the Skechers SFA Alumni Invitational and the KT Woodman Classic. Placed fourth at the MVC Outdoor Championships with a throw of 193-11. 

High School: 2012 5A State Champion in Javelin and had the sixth best throw in the nation as a senior... Received All-City and All-State honors in football for Shawnee Heights HS in Tecumseh, Kan... Earned an academic letter in each of his four years of high school... Voted the Most Inspirational Senior... Member of the National Honor Society... Played in the Shrine Bowl after lettering three years in football... Personal best javelin in high school was 211-0.

Personal: Born May 22, 1994 in Topeka, Kan... Son of Doug and Susan Holmes... Has two brothers, Zach and Cade... Dad played baseball at Allen County CC and Washburn.
