Cody Brousek is in his first year as Director of Track and Field Operations at Wichita State.
A native of Wahoo, Neb., he came to WSU after working as a Track and Field Operations Intern at Nebraska (2015-16).
He also worked several NCAA Championships, USATF Outdoor Championships and the 2016 USATF Olympic Trials for Eagle Eye Digital Video.
Prior to that, he graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2013 with a degree in elementary education and special education.
While at Wesleyan, he was a volunteer assistant for the combined events from 2013-15 after he finished his eligibility.
As an athlete, he had qualified in five events at Great Plains Athletic Conference meets in his career.
The son of Greg and Patty Brousek, he was born May 17, 1990 in Omaha, Neb.
He graduated high school from Bishop Neumann in 2008 before attending Dana College prior to its closure in 2010. He then transferred to NWU.
His sister, Carly, attends Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where she plays softball.
He also has meet experience as a high school meet director in Nebraska, and is a USATF Certified Official.
