2012 (JUNIOR): INDOOR - Competed in the weight throw in four meets...Posted a personal-best mark of 51-3 at the Kansas State Open to finish fifth...OUTDOOR - Competed in the hammer and javelin...Threw hammer a season best 144-3 at the KT Woodman Classic...Threw javelin a season best 180-11 at the Arkansas Twilight.

2011 (SOPHOMORE): INDOOR - Competed in the weight throw in four meets for the Shockers...Finished eighth at the Herm Wilson Classic with a throw of 40'1" and in ninth at the Kansas State Open with a personal best throw of 46'6"...OUTDOOR - Finished a season-best sixth place in the hammer at the WSU vs. UNI vs. Nebraska Triangular with a mark of 145'0"...Threw a personal best 148'3" in the hammer at the K.T. Woodman Classic...Also competed in the javelin in six meets for the Shockers.

2010 (FRESHMAN): INDOOR - Did not compete...OUTDOOR - Set a personal best with a throw of 196' 6" at the K.T. Woodman Classic to place fourth in the javelin...Was second overall in the javelin at the Emporia State Invitational (188' 1")...Came in sixth in the javelin at the MVC Championships (184' 9").

2009 (FRESHMAN): INDOOR - Did not compete...OUTDOOR - Redshirted, did not compete.

Newton HS: Won the AVCTL league championship three times, and the regional championships twice, in the javelin...Finished as the runner-up in the Kansas 5A state javelin as a sophomore and junior, while finishing fourth as a senior...Owns the NHS school record in the javelin with his career-best toss of 198-2...Part of NHS team that won three league championships and two regional championships...Helped NHS to a second-place team finish at state as a junior, and third place as a senior...Lettered three times in football and four times in track and field...Four-year academic letterwinner at NHS...Earned principal’s honor roll accolades each semester of high school.

Personal: Born Feb. 16, 1990...Son of Jeff and Michelle Ronen...Plans to major in criminal justice...Has a brother, Kevin, and a sister, Casie.
