Biography
2013 (FRESHMAN): INDOOR- Ran a personal best of 2:03.65 in the 800m run at the Herm Wilson Invitational. Finished a season best 16th at the Herm Wilson Invitational. Set a personal best of 4:50.49 in the mile at the Jayhawk Classic. OUTDOOR- Ran a season best 800m time of 2:04.43 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. Competed in the 800m run at three meets for the Shockers.
Andover Central High School: Captured 1st-Team all league honors. Qualified for State in the 4x800m relay in his junior season. Reached the state meet in his senior season competing in the 1600m and 4x400m relay. Qualified for the Kansas State Cross Country Meet three times. Graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA. Earned an academic letter and the President's Award for Educational Excellence.
Personal: Son of Steve and Sandra Howell. Has two older brothers, Jeffrey and Jared, and a younger sister, Lauren. Related to former WSU distance runner, Mike Howell.
