2022-23 (So.)
Walk-on point guard played his way into the rotation in December and January as an offensive spark plug off the bench... Appeared in 21 games with three starts... Averaged 4.9 points, 1.4 rebounds in 12.8 minutes and totaled 16 assists and 10 steals... Shot 37.3% from deep (.373) and 91.3% at the foul line (21-of-23)... Saw time in just one game in the season's first month (a three-minute cameo in the season-opener against Central Arkansas) before emerging from out of nowhere on Dec. 10 to spark a comeback win over Longwood with 14 points on 4-of-7 three-point shooting... Continued his offensive onslaught with nine points-each against Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 13) and Oklahoma State (Dec. 17) to earn his first career start (Dec. 22 vs. Texas Southern), becoming the first Shocker walk-on to start a game since the 2007-08 season... Saw extensive time in early conference games with starting point guard Craig Porter Jr. recovering from an ankle injury... Became the first Shocker walk-on in the 13-scholarship era to lead the team in scoring with an 11-point effort at UCF (Dec. 28)... Contributed 11 points in 16 minutes against Cincinnati (Jan. 5)... Paced the scoring yet again at South Florida (Jan. 8) tallying 13 of his career-high 16 points after halftime to key one of the largest second-half road comebacks in school history (14 down with 14:44 to play). He was 4-of-7 from deep... Started the year 18-of-40 from three (.450), capped by a 1-for-2 effort at SMU (Jan. 22) but converted just 4-of-19 the rest of the way... Entered the transfer portal in the Spring of 2023 with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
 
Junior College:
Two-time all-region performer at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, Miss, averaged over 20 points-per-game for his career… As a sophomore topped 20 points in 17 of his 25 contests and ranked 21st on the NJCAA national scoring list (20.6 ppg)… Led his conference in three-point field goals (79) and ranked fourth in free throw percentage (.846)… Also put up 3.4 assists and 1.9 steals… Earned all-region status as a freshman when he averaged 19.9 points… In an abbreviated 17-game season, led his conference in field goals (108), free throws (84) and minutes (.857), ranked second in three-pointers (39) and third in free throw percentage (.857)… Coached by Tim Ryan.
 
High School:
2020 graduate of Peabody Magnet School… As a senior, led his team to a state title and earned first team All-Class 4A honors from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association… Averaged 21.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.9 steals in his final season while shooting 49 percent from three in 2019-20… … Voted Most Outstanding Player after a 31-point performance in the state championship game… All Cenla (Central Louisiana) MVP… First team All-District 3-3A… As a junior, averaged 15.6 points and earned honorable mention All-Class 3A status… Coached by Charles Smith.

Born Sep. 15, 2001… Son of Geneva Hayes and Melvin Flanagan… Father played college ball with Shocker head coach Isaac Brown at Mississippi Gulf Coast in the early 90s... Has one brother and one sister… Majoring in General Studies Sociology.
