Biography

2005-06 (Junior):  Led the Shockers with a 72.638 stroke average that ranks him third in the Valley for the year... Was also named to the MVC All-Conference Team. His low round was a 67 at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational (Oct. 10-11)... Best finish was tied for 4th at the Stevinson Ranch Invitational (Mar. 27-28)... Low 54-hole score of 211 also came at that tournament and is a new career best... Shot a double-eagle on the par 5, 14th hole from 180 yards using a seven iron at the Wolf Pack Invitational... Shot three rounds in the 60s and 11 rounds in the 70s.

2004-05 (Sophomore): Played in 11-of-13 tournaments during the year... Low round was a 68 at the River City Classic (Feb. 14-15)... Finished a season-low tied for third at that tournament... Seventh on the team in stroke average with a 74.7... Helped the Shockers to a first place finish at the Mid Pines Intercollegiate (Sept. 13-14) firing a 215 and finishing tied for sixth... Shot 23 rounds in the 70s and two in the 60s.

2003-2004 (Freshman): Played in nine tournaments in the season, recording a 75.1 stroke average... Fired an 18-hole 67 at the Stevinson Ranch Invitational (Mar. 8-9)... Finished a career-best tied for second at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic (Apr. 12-13), firing a career-best 54-hole score of 212... Helped the Shockers to an eighth place finish at the Hooters Collegiate Championship (Nov. 6-9)... Won his match over Arizona (3&2) helping put the Shockers in the Consolation Finals against Arizona State... Went 1-1 at the Hooters Classic.

High School: Played for coach Brent Wilcoxen... Lettered three years in golf... Had a 74.0 average in 30 tournaments, with 38 rounds in the 70s and three in the 60s, while only one in the 80s... Finished first at a tournament in Guthrie, Okla... Team went a combined 23-1 in his final two years... Three-time team state 6A champion.

Academics: Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2005 semester.

Personal: Born April 18, 1984... Son of Ron and Linda Bishop... Has two brothers, Travis and Josh, and one sister, Kalie... Plans to major in sports administration and minoring in communication.
