2020-21: Cross Country (competed in Spring of 2021) – Competed in both races the Shockers were in as a team … Took 27th at the AAC Championships … Placed sixth at the JK Gold Classic … Was a part of the scoring effort for the Shockers in both meets.
Indoor – Ran in four races at three meets … Ran the 3,000 meters in 10:20.98 to take third at the Triangular for a season-best time … Was the runner-up in the 3,000 meters at the Championship at The Peak … Ran the Mile twice … Ran a time of 5:10.39 in the Mile at the Division I Challenge for a season best.
Outdoor – Ran in three races … Took seventh in the 3,000 meters at the Shocker Spring Invitational with a time of 10:49.03 … Finished 16th in the 1,500 meters at the Wichita State Open with a time of 5:00.11 … Finished 13th at the KT Woodman Classic in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:46.89.
2019-20: Cross Country - Competed in five races for Wichita State … Won the Emporia State Invitational with a 5K time of 19:45.76 … Competed at the AAC Championships where she took 59th … Earned two more top-20 finishes at the Bob Timmons Classic (14th) and the JK Gold Classic (18th) … Also ran in the Open section at Pre-Nationals.
Indoor - Ran in six races for the Shockers … Ran in both the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters at the AAC Championships … Won the Shocker Prelude’s Mile with a season-best time of 5:24.87 … Finished fourth in the morning section of the Mile at the Jayhawk Classic … Was the runner-up in the Mile at the Air Force Team Challenge.
Outdoor - 2020 season canceled.
2018-19: Cross Country - Completed four races, including three 5K's and one 4K...Finished 40th at the J.K. Gold Classic 4K with a time of 16:17.9.
Indoor - Competed in four meets...Ran a personal best 1000m time of 3:28.96 at the Hawkeye Invitational...Placed eighth in the Shocker Prelude mile clocking in at 5:46.98...Recorded a personal best mile time of 5:46.10 at the Pitt State Invitational on Jan. 26.
Outdoor - Ran four races in three meets...Ran a personal best 1500m time of 5:21.34 at the K.T. Woodman Classic...Placed ninth in the 1500m (5:27.68) and 11th in the 800m (2:44.24) at the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout.
Florida: Did not compete.
High School: Prepped at Mount Temple Comprehensive School...Earned senior athlete of the year award...Was a two-time all-Ireland track and field senior girls 3,000m champion...2015 Irish Interclub cross country championship winner..Personal bests - 9:42.46 in the 3000m and 17:42.04 in the 5000m.
Personal: Daughter of Susan and Alan Saunders...Has one brother, Dylan and one sister, Emily...Recruited by Florida State, Iona and Providence...Attended Florida for one season...Majoring in psychology.
