2017-18: Cross Country - Finished fifth overall in the J.K. Gold Classic 6K with a time of 18:47.3...Ran a 26:14.7 8K at The American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships finishing 22nd...Placed 89th overall in the 10K (30:40.7) at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
Indoor - Ran at five different meets, placing in the top-10 of every race entered...Won the 3rd Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic mile with a personal best time of 4:16.01...Ran a personal best 14:31.82 in the 5000m to place seventh and finished ninth in the 3000m (8:32.0) at The American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
Outdoor - Recorded six top-10 finishes in six different meets...Ran a personal best 4:00.79 in the 5000m to place fifth at the Central Missouri Mule Relays...Was part of two relays that placed in the top-10 at the 2018 Drake Relays, the 4x800m finished seventh (7:58.21) and 4x1600m finished fourth (17:22.33).
2016-17: Cross Country - Ran in six races, including the NCAA Midwest Regional where he placed 122nd in the 10k race... Was 34th at the MVC Championship in the 8k Race... Highest finish was in the J.K. Gold Classic where he finished eighth.
Indoor – Ran in seven races, including four top five finishes…Set personal best in the mile with a time of 4:17.93 and in the 3000m at the MVC Indoor Championships.
Outdoor – Placed third at the Arkansas Spring Invitational in the 1,500m with a personal best 4:01.66…Won the 5000m at the Emporia State Relays with a personal best 14:38.46.
2015-16:Â Â
Cross Country- Finished ninth at the J.K. Gold Classic with a time of 19:24.20 in the 6K race... Best 8K time was 24:47.20 at the Pre-National meet in Louisville, Ky... Highest 8K finish was 24th at the MVC Championship with a time of 24:59.32.
Indoor- Ran in two events, the Shocker Prelude in the 3000 meters (8:54.13/2nd) and the Colligan Memorial 5000 (15:18.56/14th).
2014-15:Â
Cross Country- Ran unattached in the J.K. Gold Classic with a time of 19:28.04 in the 6K to finish 22nd... Also ran unattached in the Woody Greeno with a time of 26:32.30 and finished seventh in the 8K.Â
Indoor:Â Ran the 3K, 5K or the mile at six meets... Bests were 3K (8:45.91) at the Bill Easton, 5K (15:09.17) at the Prairie Wolf and Mile (4:24.20) at the Mark Colligan. Â
Outdoor:Â Ran in five meets with bests of 4:02.46 in the 1,500m at the Shocker Open, 8:46.24 in the 3000m at the Arkansas Invitational, 15:00.47 in the 5,000m at the Rock Chalk and 31:51.89 in the 10,000m at the K.T. Woodman.
2013-14: Transfered from Newman University to WSU after his freshman year...Helped the team to second place in the Heartland Conference and also earned all-conference honors as a freshman for WSU Alum and head coach Josh Schepis.
High School:Â Lettered in cross country and track and field four years at Bishop Carroll ...Was a member of the state championship track and field teams three times and the cross country teams four times ... Best times were 1:55.84 in the 800, and 9:29.54 in the 3200 ... Was a state champion in the 800, 1600, and the 3200 as a senior ... Was all-state in cross country four years ... Helped set the school record in the 4x800 with a time of 7:59 and in the 5K in 15:53 as a junior ...Â
Personal: Son of Mark and Consuero Garcia ... Has a brother, Garrett ...Recruited by Kansas State, Newman and serveral schools in Kansas ... Majoring in exercise science at WSU.
