As a junior... Named MVC All-Conference for the second consecutive season... Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team... Two-time MVC Golfer-of-the-Week (Feb. 16 and April 4)... Earned six top-10 finishes... Finished the year with a 72.19 stroke average... Earned first career MVC Golfer-of-the-Week award following a 4th-place finish at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational... Shot a 1-under 212 (70-71-71), which tied his personal tournament low... Captured second career weekly award after tying for 6th place at the Bancorp South Intercollegiate... shot 3-under (71-70=141) in the rain-shortened event and led WSU to its third-straight team title... Placed 6th at the UTA/Waterchase Invitational with a 36-hole total 144 (76-68)... Tied for 8th at the Rio Pinar Invitational, helping the Shockers to a team title... Shot a 4-under 212 (70-71-71) to set a personal tournament low... Tied for 10th at the MVC Championship with a 54-hole total 223 (73-76-74)... Tied for 69th at the NCAA Stanford Regional (78-72-73=223).

As a sophomore... Named MVC All-Conference... Was the runner-up at the MVC Championship, falling in a play-off... Scored a 54-hole total 220 (73-74-73) to earn his only top-10 finish of the season... Finished the year with a 74.46 stroke average - better than a one-stroke improvement over his sophomore season... Opened the year with WSU's best score at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, tying for 20th with a 54-hole total 213 (70-70-73)... Scored a season low-round 69 in the second round of the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational to begin the Spring season... Placed 26th at the tournament with a 54-hole total 218 (74-69-75)... Checked in with a tournament total 227 (73-76-78) at the NCAA Regional at Indiana University to tie for 49th, up 19 spots from the previous year.

As a freshman... Finished his first year as a Shocker with a 75.82 stroke average in 13 tournaments... Named to the MVC All-Conference Team with a 20th place finish and 240 (84-79-77) tournament total... Registered a Top-10 finish on his home course at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic... Shot a 54-hole total 216 (69-73-74) to secure 2nd place... Ended the fall schedule with a 17th place finish at the Aldila Scenic City Invitational... That effort included a season-low 68 in the second round and matched his season-low tournament with a 54-hole total 216 (71-68-77)... Registered a tournament total 237 to finish 68th at the NCAA Regional at Texas A&M. 

Before he was a Shocker...Played for Coach Cameron Sands and the Mustangs at Memorial High School...Lettered in golf all four years...Named to the 2008 Texas 5A State Tournament Team after finishing third in state competition...First Team All-Region in 2008 and first team All-District after his sophomore and junior seasons...Shot a 69 and a 73 during two stroke play rounds of the 2008 U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst's No. 2 and No. 4 courses to tie for 25th...Qualified and made the cut at both the Texas State Amateur and the Texas State Public Links in 2008...Qualified for the 2007 United States Junior Amateur at Boone Valley Golf Club...Won the 2007 Stableford Championship as a part of the Texas Legends Junior Tour.



Personal...Tyler Martin Gann was born on September 18, 1990 in Metairie, La....Son of Joel and Cathy Gann and little brother of Austin (24) and Ally (22)...Father, Joel, also played collegiate golf (North Texas)...Was also recruited by the University of Kansas, UAB and Oklahoma...Majoring in Communications, but does strive for a career in professional golf...Listed coaches, curriculum, facilities and the campus as his reasons for choosing Wichita State.
