Finished her career on several career record lists at Wichita State: 2nd in batting average (.377), 3rd in on base percentage (.464), tied for 3rd in triples (11), 4th in slugging percentage (.658), 5th in RBIs (144), tied for 7th in doubles (40), 8th in total bases (335), 9th in runs scored (138) and tied for 10th in walks (88)... She is one of only two players in school history to record at least 40 doubles, 10 triples and 25 home runs in a career... Was named First Team All-Conference for the third time in her career... American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team... Named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Played in 13 games as a true freshman, making five starts in the outfield... Scored six runs to go with two hits and an RBI... Registered her first career double vs. Missouri State (March 11)... Drew a pair of walks vs. Creighton (Feb. 27).
HIGH SCHOOL
Lauren Lucas made the move to Wichita State from Little Elm, Texas, and Little Elm High School... Lucas lettered and started all four years at Little Elm under head coach Jill Miller... She earned District Pitcher of the Year, District Offensive Player of the Year and District Co-MVP honors during her first three years, while also racking up Team MVP honors three times, All-State (twice), All-Area (three times) and All-Metroplex accolades... As a junior, Lucas finished with a .633 batting average and 234 strikeouts and a 1.55 ERA in the circle... She holds a career batting average of .616 and 2.88 ERA... Lucas helped Little Elm to three Bi-District Championships, a regional quarterfinal championship and regional semifinal championship... A member of the volleyball team as well, Lucas earned honorable mention all-district honors... Off the field Lucas was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Athletic Leadership Council.
PERSONAL
She is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer Lucas, and has one brother, Garrett Scudder and one sister, Rylie Scudder... Her father played college baseball at Northwestern State University, while both siblings played softball (Rylie) at Bethel and baseball (Garrett) at McMurry University... Lucas plans to major in sport management at Wichita State.
