2016-17: Cross Country - Placed 82nd at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a time of 31:59.5 in the 10k race... Was 14th at the MVC Championship with an 8k time of 25:21.7, which was his WSU best...Was fifth at the J.K. Gold...
Indoor – Finished top five in seven races, including a personal best 4:17.02 to win the mile at the Herm Wilson Invitational...Set personal best in the 3000m (8:20.88) and 5000m(14:38.14).
Outdoor – Ran a personal best 4:04.65 in the 1500m at the K.T. Woodman Classic.
2015-16: Ran 12 races in 2016 but did not compete in Valley action...
Indoor- Best indoor 3,000 meter time was 8:43.75 at the Herm Wilson... Best indoor mile time was 4:26.97... Ran the 5,000 meter twice outdoors and had a best of 15:44.11 at the UTSA Invitational.
Outdoor - Best 3,000 meter time was 8:46.64 outdoors at the Arkansas Spring Invitational.
2015: Transferred to Wichita State from Nebraska and did not compete in Cross Country...
2014 (Sophomore at Nebraska): Led the Nebraska cross country team during his second season... Finished as Nebraska’s top runner in five of six meets during the season... A two-time letterwinner, Harter opened the season with a second-place finish at the Augustana Twilight Invitational (18:29.09)... The following week, he earned his first collegiate invitational title at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invite, posting a time of 25:50.20... After finishing 68th (26:11) at the Roy Griak Invite, Harter closed the regular season as Nebraska’s No. 2 finisher at the Bradley Classic, finishing 16th overall with a time of 25:03.0... He produced NU’s top finish at the 2014 Big Ten Championships, running to a 59th-place finish in a time of 25:02.8... He led the Huskers by finishing 76th at the NCAA Midwest Regional in a time of 31:17.8... Named the Huskers' MVP in Cross Country.
2013 (Freshman at Nebraska): Harter made an immediate impact on a young Husker team in 2013, finishing among the top four Huskers at five of six competitions on the year... He closed the season strong as Nebraska’s top finisher at the Big Ten Championships, covering the course in West Lafayette, Ind., in a time of 25:37.1 to finish 62nd overall... He closed the year with a 56th-place finish as NU’s No. 2 runner at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Ames, Iowa... He was instrumental in helping the Huskers to a ninth-place team finish at regionals... Finished second in the University Division at the season-opening Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls, S.D... He tied for third among the Huskers and sixth overall at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational at Pioneers Park in Lincoln with a time of 25:43.60... After finishing as NU’s No. 7 runner at the Roy Griak Invitational (131st, 26:01.8), he bounced back with a runner-up finish at the Tim Young Invitational on Oct. 19, to close the regular season in a time of 25:07.25... He earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2014.
High School: The Millard West High School product won the 2012 Nebraska Class A cross country title on his way to Gatorade Nebraska Boys Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year honors... He was sixth at the 2011 Class A meet... Also won the 3200 meters at the state meet... Earned four letters in track and four in cross country... Helped his team to the state title in cross country as a freshman
Personal: Son of Jim and RaLinda Harter... Has a brother, Samuel... Competed at USA Junior Nationals in 2013 and 2014... Lettered two seasons at Nebraska... Won the Woody Greeno Invitational in 2014 for Nebraska, a meet in which the Shockers also competed... Majoring in Sport Management at WSU.
