SMYRNA, Tenn. -- The #4-ranked Wichita State women's bowling team wraps up the regular season with a trip to Tennessee for the Music City Classic at Smyrna Bowling Center. Hosted by Vanderbilt, the tournament begins Friday, March 6 and concludes Sunday, March 8.
The Shockers finished 7th out of 31 teams at last season's Music City Classic. WSU went 9-4 in total, picking up wins against the #3, #6 and #9-ranked teams in the country along the way.
Ashtyn Woods earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
14 of the top 15 teams in the latest NTCA poll will make their way to Smyrna as part of the 34-team field.

The schedule of the tournament is as follows:
- Friday - Five Baker matches starting at 9:40Â AM CT
- Saturday - Five traditional matches starting at 9:30Â AM CT
- Sunday - Three best-of-seven Baker matches to determine final placings
Baker matches are structured with five players combining to bowl one game, each bowling two frames. Player one bowls frames 1 and 6, player two bowls frames 2 and 7, player three bowls frames 3 and 8, player four bowls frames 4 and 9 and player 5 bowls frames 5 and 10. In traditional matches, five players each bowl an individual game, with all five games added together.
Wichita State is coming off another tournament win at the Big Red Invite, knocking off #6 Nebraska and #1 Jacksonville State to claim their second title of the 2025-26 season. The Shockers bring a 64-27 record into the Music City Classic on Friday.
