WICHITA, Kan. -- Fresh off the program's first American Athletic Conference tournament championship and an NCAA tournament appearance, Wichita State volleyball and head coach
Chris Lamb announced their 2025 spring schedule on Saturday.
The slate offers two opportunities to watch the Shockers at home, as WSU hosts Barton County CC and Emporia State on Wednesday, March 5 at 5:00 pm and then welcomes Kansas to Charles Koch Arena on Saturday, April 5 at 1:30 pm. Wichita State will otherwise make two short road trips, heading down to Edmond, Oklahoma on Friday, March 28 to battle Central Oklahoma and Tulsa before wrapping up the spring with the Kansas City tournament, taking place Saturday, April 12.
The Shockers return 13 players from a team that finished the 2024 season with an 18-14 record, including outside hitters
Brooklyn Leggett,
Emerson Wilford,
Gracie Morrow and
Nadia Wasilewski plus middle blockers
Maddie Wilson and
Allie Paulsen.
Katie Galligan and
Grace Hett return to the back row, along with
Gabi Maas, who missed the entirety of the 2024 season due to injury.
Lamb has added three transfers to the mix, bringing in outside hitter
Sydney Dunning (Cal State Bakersfield), middle blocker
Elinor Engel (Central Missouri), and setter
Hannah Hawkins (High Point). The veteran head coach enters his 26th season in 2025, with a career record of 526-250.
