WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State athletics, in partnership with the Kansas Humane Society, will host "Bark in the Park" at the Shocker baseball game against Tulane Saturday, April 27, at 2:00 pm at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field. Gates for the contest will open at 1:00 pm.
The Shocker Athletic Department will provide waste dispensers to fans with a dog while Kansas Humane Society will be on-site providing dog treats and information about their organizations.
To ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience at the "Bark in the Park" event, please read and follow this important information:
- Dogs will be allowed to check-in and be in the center field and left field areas of Eck Stadium.
- We encourage owners with dogs to purchase tickets online, in-advance for seamless entry into Eck Stadium. Purchase discounted tickets here to offset the cost of online fees. Fans that don't purchase in advance will need to buy a ticket at one of the ticket booths then proceed to the gate behind the batter's eye in centerfield for admission. They CANNOT enter through any other gate.
- We also encourage owners with dogs to complete the online waiver in advance for seamless entry into Eck Stadium
- All dogs must be kept on a fixed length leash (no longer than 8 ft.) at ALL TIMES. No retractable leashes, no dogs off leash. Owners are responsible for their own messes.
- Dog owner assumes responsibility for the action of their dog for the duration of the Bark in the Park event.
All participants are required to execute a Release and Waiver. Wichita State reserves the right to reject any dog for any reason. For the waiver form, please click here.
