200 Wichita State student-athletes received academic honors from the American Athletic Conference Thursday, and both the Shocker softball and men's golf teams were recognized with a Team Academic Excellence Award. This is the fourth consecutive Team Academic Excellent Award for the men's golf team.

In order to make the All-Academic team, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.00 GPA for the school year.

Team Academic Excellence Award selections are made by faculty athletics representatives from around the league. Winning teams were chosen based on the 2022-23 grade point average of each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster at the end of the academic year, weighing each student's GPA by credit-hour completed.
Wichita State baseball player
Brock Rodden was honored Wednesday as the conference's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the first Wichita State student-athlete to earn that award.
