IOWA CITY, Iowa -Â The Wichita State men's golf team takes aim at their final tournament before the American Athletic Conference tournament, battling a host of familiar foes at the Hawkeye Invitational. The competition was originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, but has been moved up to Friday and Saturday due to the possibility of inclement weather. Teams will tee off at 1:00 pm Friday and play continuously until dark, then resume play until the completion of 54 holes on Saturday.
The field of 13 teams includes: Central Arkansas, Creighton, Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, Tarleton State, UMKC, Western Illinois and Wichita State.

Matthew Sandoz will compete as an individual.
WSU is coming off a 1-1 showing at the Blessings Medal Match Play in Fayetteville, losing to Central Arkansas before defeating Missouri State.
The Hawkeye Invitational is Wichita State's final tuneup before The American Championship, April 21-23 in Belleair, Florida.
