Wichita State seniors
DJ McCarty and
Tre'Zure Jobe update us on Shocker Madness, what it's like playing for coach
Terry Nooner and why McCarty welcomed a competitor at guard to the team. We discuss the "Easy Run," which – spoiler alert – isn't easy, why McCarty stayed at Wichita State and we try to convince her to remain in Wichita after graduation.
McCarty is a senior guard from DeSoto, Texas. She started 32 games last season and averaged 10.5 points, a team-leading 3.5 assists and a team-leading 1.9 steals.
Jobe is a senior guard who transferred from Emporia State after twice earning honorable mention WBCA All-American honors. She starred on two Class 6A championship teams for Shocker assistant
Antwain Scales at Wichita South High School.
Shocker Madness is at 6 pm. Saturday at Koch Arena and the basketball teams will scrimmage. Doors open at 5 and admission is free.
