WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State infielder
Brock Rodden was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
Rodden powered the Wichita State offense over the course of three games against New Mexico, finishing the weekend 7-for-12 (.583) with a double, two home runs, five runs scored, and six RBI. The sophomore drew two walks and struck out just once during the series.Â

On Saturday, Rodden matched his season high with three hits, highlighted by a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth. He finished a triple shy of the cycle, then nearly replicated the feat on Sunday afternoon with three more hits. His first inning home run in the series finale traveled a Trackman-confirmed 451 feet.
The seven-hit barrage raised Rodden's season batting average to .320, which leads the team. He is also tops on the club with six home runs and 21. For the year, the native of Oktaha, Oklahoma is now slashing .320/.429/.653, good for an OPS of 1.082.
