Junior infielder Sawyre Thornhill joins the podcast to talk about how the Shockers stayed together and rallied after a tough start to the season. He talks about his one superstition during a hitting streak, how COVID-19 changed his college plans and how he ended up starting in left field. He discusses his love for deer hunting, which Shocker teammate is the best basketball player and why shortstop Carlos Correa is his favorite baseball player.

Thornhill, from Huntington, Texas, is hitting .354 with four doubles and three home runs for the Shockers, and a team-leading 11 RBI. He is on a 12-game hit streak.

The Shockers are 6-7 and on a four-game win streak after Tuesday's 6-4 win over Oral Roberts. They play South Dakota State at 3 p.m. Friday to open a weekend series at Eck Stadium.
