Wichita State's men's basketball game at SMU – originally scheduled for Jan. 23 in Dallas – has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3 at Moody Coliseum, the American Athletic Conference announced.
Tipoff time is set for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
The move means three games in five days for the Shockers, who were already slated to host Tulsa on Tuesday, Feb. 1 and SMU on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Back-to-back games against the Mustangs ends a lengthy series hiatus for the schools, brought on by four-different rounds of postponements due to health and safety protocols.
WSU won the most-recent matchup on Mar. 1, 2020 at Moody Coliseum, rallying from a 24-point second-half deficit. Saturday's visit to Charles Koch Arena will be SMU's first in 1,102 days. On Jan. 30, 2019, the Shockers stunned the Mustangs, 85-83, on Samajae Haynes-Jones' last-second layup.
WSU is working the conference office on potential makeup dates for two other postponed road games – at ECU and Temple.
