WICHITA, Kan. - The Shockers make their long-awaited return home for two matches this week. They face Omaha on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., and No. 23 Memphis on Friday at 1:00 p.m., at the Coleman Tennis Complex. Rain is forecasted on Friday and any changes to the venue will be communicated via social media a few hours before the match.
 
Fans will be allowed to attend home matches at the Coleman Tennis Complex. Masks are required at the facility and more information about COVID-19 protocols can be found here. Those wishing to spectate matches at Genesis will be limited to the upstairs viewing area of the health club.
 
Shocker Notables

• The senior duo of Marius Frosa and Murkel Dellien came in at No. 32 in the ITA Preseason Doubles Rankings. This is their third straight, and 12th overall, appearance in the rankings. The duo is 2-2 on the season.
• Frosa paces the Shockers in singles wins with seven. Frosa has played at No. 1 and 2, and his only losses are against No. 49 Vocel of Oklahoma State and Denver's No. 1.
• Luka Mrsic and Stefan Latinovic are 7-2 as a doubles pair and a win over No. 23 Oklahoma's Mandilik/Hotard is their highlight of the year.

 
Scouting the Competition
 
Omaha (6-6)

• The Mavericks beat Saint Louis, 5-2, their last time out. They have won three of their last four matches.
• The two teams have already played once this year, with Wichita State winning 6-1 in January.
• The Shockers have beat Omaha both times they have met.

 
#25 Memphis (5-1)

• The Tigers beat Arkansas last time out, 5-2. They also have impressive wins over Vanderbilt, Clemson, and No. 17 Ole Miss.
• The teams last met in 2019 as the Shockers picked up a ranked win over No. 50 Memphis, 4-3.
• The all-time record is tied at 2-2.

 
Up Next
The Shockers travel to Tulsa, Okla., next week to face UTSA on March 13th and host Tulsa on March 14th. Times have not been set for the matches yet.
