WICHITA, Kan. - Behind a pair of double-doubles, Wichita State junior forward Jane Asinde has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

The Kampala, Uganda, native averaged 15.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, while shooting 66.7 percent from the field in two Wichita State victories last week.

Asinde made her first career start vs. Prairie View A&M and logged 17 points and 11 rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. She followed that performance with her second straight double-double, totaling 14 points and 11 boards.

This is the first career weekly honor for the junior college transfer and second of the season for Wichita State.

Asinde and the Shockers hit the court tonight for a matchup vs. Northwestern State at 6 p.m. CT in Charles Koch Arena.
