Behind 20 hits and 13 runs, Wichita State defeated Seminole State, 13-0, Wednesday night at Wilkins Stadium.
The Shockers recorded their second shutout of the fall, allowing only four hits on the night.
Lauren Mills and
Jessica Garcia provided the pop, as they both homered in the contest. Wichita State scored two runs in the third, three in the fifth, two in the sixth, two in the seventh and four in the ninth.
Tatum Long and
Camryn Compton both drove in runs on back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the ninth.
Caitlin Bingham (4.0 IP),
Jordyn Pipkin (2.0 IP) and Kenzie Schopfer (4.0 IP) were the Shocker pitchers to see action in the circle.
Wichita State continues fall play Friday night at 6:30 p.m. vs. Central Oklahoma and then Saturday vs. Emporia State at 1 p.m.
