100
Wichita State scored 100 points in its victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, Dec. 16, marking the first time since 1999 the Shockers have reached the century mark. It is only the sixth time in program history that a Wichita State team has put 100 points on the scoreboard. They are 6-0 all-time when scoring 100-plus.

LAST TIME OUT
Wichita State won its third straight game after erasing an eight-point halftime deficit vs. Temple Sunday afternoon. It marked the second straight game the Shockers won despite trailing by eight or more at the half. Wichita State has won three straight conference games for the first time since its inaugural season in The American when they won five consecutive. Wichita State's 10 turnovers marked a season low. Mariah McCully extended her streak of games in double figures to 12 after scoring a team-high 15. Seraphine Bastin and Shyia Smith both added 12 points apiece. Bastin has recorded 10 or more points in back-to-back games. For Smith, it was her first game in double-digits since the conference opener at No. 1 UConn on Jan. 2.

SCOUTING THE BULLS
USF enters the matchup at 10-8 overall and 2-2 in league play. The Bulls own league wins over Cincinnati and Tulsa, while their two losses came at Temple and at home to UCF. Elena Tsineke leads three USF players in double figures at 11.7 points per game. Sydni Harvey missed the first part of the season, but has returned to average 10.6 points a game. Bethy Mununga averages nearly a double-double at 10.7 points and 9.5 rebounds. Mununga ranks second in The American in offensive rebounds per game at 4.0 and third in rebounds per game with 9.5. USF top the conference in total rebounds, offensive rebounds, rebound margin, three-pointers attempted and three-pointers made. Their 16.6 offensive rebounds per contest and plus 10.3 rebound margin rank seventh nationally.

THE SERIES VS. USF
Wichita State and USF have met three times prior to Wednesday's matchup, with the Shockers owning a 2-1 series lead. The first ever meeting came all the way back in Feb. 1983 on a nuetral court that Wichita State won going away, 75-52. Wichita State is 1-0 vs. USF in Charles Koch Arena with its lone win coming in 2018, a 64-56 upset over No. 24 USF. That win for Wichita State was its first over a ranked opponent since 1998.

LAST MEETING
The two programs met only once a season ago - a 55-46 win for USF in Tampa. It was the Shockers' first trip to Tampa. Wichita State limited USF to 25.9 percent shooting, including a 2-for-18 mark from beyond the arc. USF was able to make up for a poor shooting day by going 23-for-29 at the free throw line and outrebounding the Shockers 51-35. The Bulls finished with 22 offensive rebounds. Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage was the lone Shocker in double figures with 11 points. Raven Prince grabbed 10 rebounds. USF's Shae Leverett finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds lead all players.

ABOUT THE BULLS
Located in Tampa, Fla., the University of South Florida has an enrollment of 50,577 as a member of the American Athletic Conference. USF returns seven letterwinners and three starters off last year's squad that finished 19-16 and 7-9 in The American. The Bulls were picked to finish second by the league's coaches in the American Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. Enna Pehadzic was selected by the coaches to the Preseason All-Conference Second Team. Head Coach Jose Fernandez is USF's all-time winningest coach with a career record of 364-265, now in his 20th season with the Bulls. Under his guidance, USF has transformed from a program with only five winning seasons to a staple in the NCAA Tournament. He has led USF to six NCAA Tournament appearances, including four straight from 2015-18 and nine WNIT berths. Fernandez was named the 2018 American Coach of the Year after leading USF to a 26-8 mark and 13-3 record in AAC play.

SHOCKERS MAKE AMERICAN RECORD BOOK
In Wichita State's 100-50 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, Dec. 16, the Shockers tied the conference single-game record with 36 made free throws, going a collective 36-of-45 (80 percent) from the charity stripe. That performance draws even with USF's 36 foul shots against UCF on Jan. 5, 2016. WSU finished one make shy of the top mark in school history (37, in 2005).

A SHOCKER WIN WOULD...
... make them 12-7 on the season
... make them 4-2 in conference play
... extend their win streak to four in a row
... run their record to 3-1 all-time vs. USF
... run Adams' career coaching record to 449-288
... make Adams 322-251 at the Division I level
... make them 374-232 all-time in Charles Koch Arena
... make Wichita State 608-690 all-time

A SHOCKER LOSS WOULD...
... drop them to 11-8 to begin the season
... make them 3-3 in conference play
... drop them to 2-2 all-time vs. USF
... lower Adams' career coaching record to 448-289
... make Adams 321-252 at the Division I level
... make them 373-233 all-time in Charles Koch Arena
... make Wichita State 607-691 all-time

BEST DECADE YET
Wichita State's win over Grambling State on Dec. 30 was the final contest of 2019 and decade for the Shocker basketball program. It signaled the end of the most successful 10-year run in program history, as Wichita State compiled 182 wins over the decade, which included three MVC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, three NCAA Appearances, 12 all-conference selections and one All-American and WNBA Draft Pick in future Shocker Hall of Famer Alex Harden.

OH MY MARIAH
Junior Mariah McCully has been on a tear recently for the Shockers. Over her last 12 games, McCully is averaging 14.4 points with outputs of 13 at Missouri State and Tulane, 25 vs. Eastern Michigan, 14 at Creighton, 17 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 10 against Montana State and Virginia Tech, 18 vs. Grambling, 16 at UConn, 11 at ECU and vs. Tulsa and 15 vs. Temple. Her 13 games of 10 or more points this season rank first on the team and she is Wichita State's leading scorer on the year at 12.8 per game. McCully has played in 16 games this season and her lowest scoring total was five points at Louisiana Tech. On the defensive side of the ball, McCully has been a pest to opposing offenses. She has recorded multiple steals in nine of the last 11 games, including four or more three times. In those 11 games, she is averaging 2.8 steals a contest.

ASIA'S REBOUNDING TEAR
Redshirt sophomore center Asia Henderson has been a rebounding machine in three of the last four games for Wichita State. The 6-foot-3 center has grabbed eight or more in three of those games and now ranks second on the team in rebounds for the season. She had eight against Tulane and Tulsa and nine at ECU. Her 5.4 rebounds a game in conference play lead the team.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN(S)
The votes are in. Wichita State women's basketball will feature three team captains in 2019-20 - senior Ashley Reid and sophomores Seraphine Bastin and Trajata Colbert. Selected by their teammates, the trio will be looked upon to lead the Shocker basketball program for the remainder of the campaign.
