WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 7-0 sweep over Saint Louis Saturday at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.
 
DOUBLES
Ting-Ya Hsu and LingWei Kong got things started in doubles play with a 6-3 win over Alba Salinas and Mika Misgav in the second slot, their 11^th win of the season as a duo. Alexandra Lazarova and Sandra Honigova teamed up in the third slot, collecting a 6-2 win over Ally McKenzie and Alana Bourgeois to clinch the doubles point for the Shockers. Esther Thebault and Fatima Bizhukova trailed Ariana Rodriguez and Cassie McKenzie, 5-4, before play was suspended.
 
SINGLES
The Shockers rolled in singles, jumping out to wins in all six courts. Bizhukova got the action started for the Shockers in the top slot, grabbing a 6-1, 6-1, win over C. McKenzie to put the Shockers up 2-0.
 
Hsu, Honigova and Kong all finished within minutes of each other in flights four, two and six, respectively. Hsu took on Rodriguez in the four slot where she reeled off a a 6-3, 6-2 win and Honigova followed in the second slot with a 6-2, 6-0 win over A. McKenzie. Kong pushed the Shocker lead to 5-0 with a dominating 6-3, 6-0 win over Bourgeois on court six.
 
Lazarova continued her winning ways, this time in the fifth flight over Alba Salinas, 7-5, 6-1. After dropping the first set, Thebault rallied to take the second set (6-2) and clinched it with a 10-8 win in a super tiebreaker.
 
The Shockers finish the regular season with a 13-9 record, and a 6-4 home record. WSU travels to Orlando April 17-20 for the American Athletic Conference tournament. Follow @gshockerswten on twitter for match dates and times and coverage of the tournament.
