The Roundhouse podcast continues its men's basketball flashback series with a look at
Wichita State's 2014 NCAA Tournament loss to Kentucky in St. Louis.
Mike Kennedy,
Paul Suellentrop and Bob Hull discuss the 78-76 loss in the round of 32 hailed as one of the great games in tournament history. Sports Illustrated called it the "Game of the Year in 2014" for all sports.
"Wichita State finished five wins short, but not without a record-breaking ride, and in its farewell, validation on a national stage in a game no one wanted to end," wrote Sports Illustrated's Luke Winn. "The Shockers and Kentucky gave us the greatest 40 minutes of this NCAA tournament. The price was history."
The Roundhouse podcast will look at games from the past over the next two months.
