WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's tennis team entered the ITA/Oracle Team Rankings for the first time since the 2015-16 season, Tuesday in a release presented by the ITA.

Led by third-year head coach
Danny Bryan, the Shockers's No. 44 Team Ranking matches the highest ranking since the 1982-83 season. WSU ranked No. 44 in the March 17 poll of the 2014-15 season, on its way to a 19-7 season.

The Shockers are coming off a 4-2 upset over No, 28 Dartmouth on Feb. 23 in Hanover, N.H., marking their highest ranked win since the 2012-13 season when they knocked off No. 27 Drake in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

WSU (5-6) boasts wins over Denver (5-2), UNC-Wilmington (4-0), Middle Tennessee (4-3), Tennessee State (7-0) and No. 28 Dartmouth (4-2). Five of their six losses have come to top-25 opponents.

Individually, senior
Haru Inoue leads the Shockers with a 5-2 dual match record in flights one and two.
Marius Frosa, a native of Galati, Romania, sports a 6-3 record in the third flight.
Murkel Dellien is 4-6 mainly in the top flight.

The Shockers are back in action this Friday at home, when they take on old Missouri Valley Conference Drake at 2:30 p.m. at Genesis Health Club.
