…doubles play:
"Doubles-wise, to the start the season, we kind of just threw three teams together to see what we have and all three teams have really gelled quickly. I think on the doubles court, the players really do pick up their teammates when they're down or keep them focused and pumped up at other moments."
Â
…bouncing back in singles play after loss to Houston:
In singles, it was a step forward in those areas. We're playing well. On Friday against Houston, in the big moments, we looked like we lacked some of the intagibles, composure, confidence, urgency, that are the difference between winning and losing those close sets and matches. We had a great practice yesterday and today, while there's certainly a lot of room for improvement in all areas, it was a step forward."
Â
…overall thoughts:
"For me, that's all that matters. The players are listening to what we're emphasizing and then to put it into competition. It's a lot easier said than done, but as long as they stay positive and motivated to get better every day in practice and every match then we're going to be successful."
