LINCOLN, Neb. – The Wichita State women's tennis team knocked off Louisville, 4-1, Saturday inside the Dillon Tennis Center.

The win marks the second-straight for the Shockers, collecting the doubles point and wins in flights one, four and five.

DOUBLES
The Shockers collected the doubles point for the fifth time this season, with wins in flights one and two.
Marta Bellucco and
Sandra Honigova recorded their fifth win in the second slot, taking down Diana Wong and Dina Chaika, 6-1. Juniors
Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and
Esther Thebault clinched the doubles point on court one, knocking off Raven Neely and Nikolina Jokic, 6-2.
Ting-Ya Hsu and
LingWei Kong trailed 5-2 in the third slot, before going unfinished.

SINGLES
Winning her third match in a row, Honigova knocked off Aleksandra Mally in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1, to give WSU an early 2-0 lead. Louisville put one on the board in the third flight, where Neely took down Bellucco in three sets, 6-3, 0-6, 7-5.

Saidhujaeva gave WSU a 3-1 lead in No. 5 singles. After dropping the first set (6-3) to Hamlin, Saidhujaeva rallied to take the final two sets (7-5, 6-3).

On court four, Kong clinched the match for the Shockers, marking her first win sporting the black and yellow. The newcomer from Guangzhou, China, won the three-set match over Jovic to give WSU the 4-1 win.

Elsewhere,
Esther Thebault and
Ting-Ya Hsu pushed their matches to a third set, before play was suspended.

With the win,
Colin Foster moved two wins closer to becoming the all-time wins leader as head coach for Wichita State women's tennis.

The Shockers face off against Nebraska (1 p.m.) and Creighton (5 p.m.) tomorrow at the Baseline Tennis Center.
