WICHITA, Kan. -Â Former Missouri Valley Conference rivals Wichita State and No. 22/19 Missouri State meet for the 88th time on Dec. 4 in Springfield.

Wichita State won its 600th game all time with its 88- 83 win over Oklahoma on Nov. 30, 2019. They became the 10th program in the American Athletic Conference with 600 or more victories. UCF (597) is right on the doorstep to 600 as well - needing only five wins to reach the milestone. Tulsa (351) is the only other active member shy of that mark.
LAST TIME OUT
Wichita State picked up its fourth straight win and improved to 7-13 all-time vs. Oklahoma. Wichita State 50 percent or better from the field for the third time this season. They are 3-0 in those games. The Shockers set a season high in three-pointers made, three-pointers attempted and three-point percentage, going 12-for-22 (54.5 percent). The 12 made threepointers are the most since WSU made 12 vs. Evansville on Dec. 30, 2006.
Raven Prince scored a career-high 16 points to go with eight rebounds - six offensive.
Seraphine Bastin also notched 16 points, while stuffing the stat sheet with a season-high seven assists and six boards.
Carla Bremaud added 15 points on 4-of6 shooting from long range and
DJ McCarty recorded her third straight game with 10 or more points, finishing with 13.
SCOUTING THE LADY BEARS
Missouri State is 7-1 and ranked No. 19 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll and No. 22 in the AP. The Lady Bears own wins over No. 23 Minnesota, Texas A&M CC, Boise State, Oklahoma, Santa Clara, South Dakota and UMKC. Their lone loss came to the hands of No. 7 Oregon State. Alexa Willard leads the Missouri State attack, averaging 19.4 points on 52.6 percent shooting, while also connecting on 57.6 percent of her attempts from long range. Willard ranks in the top 10 nationally in 3-point percentage (3rd) and FG made (5th). Brice Calip averages 13.6 points and has dished out 26 assists. Jasmine Franklin anchors the frontcourt with a team-best 9.1 rebounds per game, 14 steals and 10 blocks.

Carla Bremaud led the Shockers in scoring and was selected for the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team, becoming the first freshman to lead Wichita State in scoring for a season since Kiki Stephens in 2004-05. Now a sophomore,
Bremaud will look to carry that momentum into 2019-20, while also coming off a summer with the French U20 National Team.

DJ McCarty was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week and sophomore forward
Shyia Smith picked up her first honor roll selection on Dec. 2. McCarty, a DeSoto, Texas native, averaged 12.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists on 47.4 percent shooting in Wichita State's two wins last week that included a home win over Oklahoma on Saturday. She opened the week with a team-high 12 points, while adding three rebounds, three assists and two steals against Houston Baptist and finished with a 13-point, 3-assists outing against the Sooners. McCarty leads the team in scoring at 11.3 points per game and has scored 10 or more points in three straight games and four this season (leads team). She is the first Shocker to collect Freshman of the Week honors since
Shyia Smith last season. Smith is coming off her first career double-double when she tallied 10 points and a career-high 17 rebounds against Houston Baptist. Her 17 rebounds were a career high and the most by a Shocker since
Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage had 17 on Feb. 19, 2017. In Wichita State's two wins, Smith averaged 6.0 points and 11.5 rebounds on 50 percent shooting. She has grabbed six or more rebounds in four straight games.
MAKE IT RAIN
Wichita State poured in 12 three-pointers in only 22 attempts in its victory over Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 30. The 12 made three-pointers are the most in a single game since Dec. 30, 2006, when the Shockers made 12-of-24 against Evansville. The school record for made triples in a single game is 14, which was set in 1999. Wichita State has made 10 or more three-pointers only four times between 2006 and Nov. 30, 2019.
DJ THE DIFFERENCE MAKER?

DJ McCarty was inserted into the starting lineup on Nov. 17 against Southern, and the Shockers haven't lost in the four games since. During the four-game winning streak, McCarty is averaging 12.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists, while shooting 54.3 percent from the field.

Wichita State's win over Oklahoma on Nov. 30 was the program's first win against a Big 12 opponent and Power 5 member since Dec. 12, 2014, when the Shockers defeated in-state rival, Kansas State, 51-48 in Charles Koch Arena. That same season Wichita State also recorded wins against Clemson (ACC) and Ohio State (Big Ten).

Playing in her first collegiate road contest on Monday, Nov. 11 at Oral Roberts, freshman guard
DJ McCarty set a number of season highs. McCarty came in off the bench and lit up the Golden Eagles to the tune of 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc in 33 minutes of action. The Texas native also pulled down four rebounds. McCarty and
Carla Bremaud single-handedly kep the Shockers in it the first half, combining for 17 of the team's 25 points.

Ashley Reid and sophomores
Seraphine Bastin and
Trajata Colbert. Selected by their teammates, the trio will be looked upon to lead the Shocker basketball program for the remainder of the campaign.
THE SERIES VS. MISSOURI STATE
Wichita State and Missouri State have met on the hardwood 87 times dating all the way back to the first meeting on Nov. 26, 1976. The Shockers and Bears squared off every year from 1976-2017. The Shockers have dropped five of the last seven meetings with Missouri State. Wichita State has lost three straight games in Springfield and is just 12-32 alltime in Springfield.Â
LAST MEETING
Wichita State and Missouri State met last season on Nov. 10 in an overtime thriller that saw the Shockers outlast the Lady Bears, 63-60. Wichita State shot nearly 50 percent from the field, despite hitting just 4-of-16 attempts from beyond the arc and committing 27 turnovers. Carla
Bremaud hit the game-tying three-pointer with just two seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Bremaud finished with a team-high 15 points on

Raven Prince registered her first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out. Alexa Willard scored a game-best 21 points for Missouri State.
ABOUT THE LADY BEARS
Located in Springfield, Mo., Missouri State University has an enrollment of 26,001 as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Missouri State returns 12 letterwinners and four starters off last year's squad that finished 25-10 and 16-2 in the MVC and an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16. MSU was picked to finish second in the 2019-20 MVC Preseason Poll. Three Lady Bears – Brice Calip, Jasmine Franklin and Alexa Willard – earned honorable mention All-MVC honors last season. Missouri State lost just one starter from last year's team and brings back 79 percent of its scoring and 83 percent of minutes played. Head Coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton is in her first season leading the Lady Bears and is picking up right where the program left off. The first African-American female head coach for any sport at Missouri State, AguguaHamilton is an 18-year veteran of Division I women's basketball, including four seasons as a player at Hofstra and four coaching stops, most recently on the staff Michigan State for the past six seasons, the last four as associate head coach. During an impressive six-year stint at MSU, she helped the Spartans to four seasons with at least 21 wins, four NCAA Tournaments, one WNIT bid, and the 2014 Big Ten regular season title.
