Wichita State scored 100 points in its victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, Dec. 16, marking the first time since 1999 the Shockers have reached the century mark. It is only the sixth time in program history that a Wichita State team has put 100 points on the scoreboard. They are 6-0 all-time when scoring 100-plus.
LAST TIME OUT
Wichita State went 1-1 at the Puerto Rico Coqui Classic, defeating Montana State and dropping the final game to Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech outscored Wichita State by 45 from beyond the arc, making 18 three-pointers to Wichita State's three. The 18 made three-pointers were the most by an opponent, as well as the 60 percent marksmanship. Wichita State was outrebounded by 16 - the most this season. Wichita State was plus-12 in the turnover category - a season high.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Grambling State is off to a 1-9 start in 2019-20, having faced a challenging non-conference slate to date. Grambling State has faced Florida, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech and FIU. Justice Coleman leads a balanced scoring attack at 13.2 points per game. Candice Parramore (10.7 ppg) and Ariel Williams (10.2 ppg) round out the leading scorers. Williams also leads the team in assists and Alexus Holt pulls down a team-best 5.7 rebounds per game. Grambling leads the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and ranks in the top 100 nationally in three-point field goal defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 28.1 percent from beyond the arc. The Tigers allow 77.1 points per game and only average 31.9 rebounds per game.
SHOCKERS MAKE AMERICAN RECORD BOOKÂ
In Wichita State's 100-50 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, Dec. 16, the Shockers tied the conference single-game record with 36 made free throws, going a collective 36-of-45 (80 percent) from the charity stripe. That performance draws even with USF's 36 foul shots against UCF on Jan. 5, 2016. WSU finished one make shy of the top mark in school history (37, in 2005).

BIG WEEK LANDS MCCULLY ON HONOR ROLL
Mariah McCully picked up her first career weekly honor after scoring a career-high 25 points vs. Eastern Michigan on Dec. 7. McCully, a Grand Rapids, Mich. native, averaged 19.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals on 43.8 percent shooting in Wichita State's two games during the week. She opened the week with a then-career high 13 points against No. 18 Missouri State, and finished in a big way. She poured in a career-best 25 points on 8-of-18 shooting, while adding a career-high three steals in the win over EMU.
MAKE IT RAIN
Wichita State poured in 12 three-pointers in only 22 attempts in its victory over Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 30. The 12 made three-pointers are the most in a single game since Dec. 30, 2006, when the Shockers made 12-of-24 against Evansville. The school record for made triples in a single game is 14, which was set in 1999. Wichita State has made 10 or more three-pointers only four times between 2006 and Nov. 30, 2019.

Wichita State's big win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 16 was a career day for several Shockers.

Ashley Reid scored a game-high tying and career-high 17 points. It marked just the third time in her Shocker career scoring 10 or more points. Reid also set career bests in free throws made (8), attempted (9), assists (7), rebounds (4) and steals (3).

Maya Brewer registered a career-high 16 points, while going a career-best 7-of-9 from the free throw line.
• Junior
Mariah McCully topped the 10-point mark for the fourth straight game with a game-high tying 17 points to go with a career-high six rebounds. She was perfect from the free throw line, going 8-for-8 - both career bests.

Vendela Danielsson recorded her first career points as a Shocker, tallying all 10 after halftime on 3-of-7 shooting from long range.
• Redshirt sophomore
Asia Henderson just missed her first career double-double with eight points and a personal-best 12 rebounds. Henderson also blocked a career-high five shots.
• Redshirt freshman
Natalia Ryng checked in for the first time as a Shocker and finished with two points in 10 minutes.

Trajata Colbert. Selected by their teammates, the trio will be looked upon to lead the Shocker basketball program for the remainder of the campaign.
THE SERIES VS. GRAMBLING STATE
Wichita State and Grambling State will meet for the third time in Monday night's matchup. The Shockers lead the series, 2-0, with both games coming in Wichita. The first meeting between the two programs came back in November 2012 -a 62-44 win for Wichita State.
LAST MEETING
Wichita State defeated Grambling State just a year ago in Charles Koch Arena, 70-61, on Dec. 11, 2018. Wichita State missed nine of its 13 attempts from beyond the arc and shot just 38.2 percent from the field, but converted on 24-of-30 shots at the free throw line and forced 26 Grambling turnovers to offset a poor shooting day.
Shyia Smith scored a team-high 15 points to pace four Shockers in double figures. Smith made 9-of-11 free throw attempts and also pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.

ABOUT THE TIGERS
Located in Grambling, La., Grambling State University has an enrollment of 5,205 as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Grambling State returns six letterwinners and three starters off last year's squad that finished 16-16 and 12-6 in the SWAC. The Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the preseason coaches poll. Grambling lost its top two scorers from a season ago and will look to Justice Coleman to lead the Tigers, who averaged 6.4 points per game in 2018-19. Head Coach Freddie Murray is in his fourth season leading the Tigers with a career record of 55-54. To cap his first season as the head coach, Grambling became the first SWAC school to win a postseason game after defeating Ole Miss in the WNIT. His second season saw him lead Grambling State to the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18. That team won 19 games before falling to No. 2 seed Baylor in the first round. He has led Grambling to a regular season SWAC title, SWAC Tournament Championship, while also racking up SWAC Coach of the Year honors in 2017.
UP NEXT
Conference play opens the new year in what will be the final visit to UConn as members of The American on Jan. 2. The Shockers and Huskies will tip at 6 p.m. CDT in Storrs, Conn., at Gampel Pavilion. It will be Wichita State's first-ever contest in Gampel Pavilion. The Shockers' first trip to UConn back in 2018 was played in Hartford at the XL Center.
