WICHITA, Kan. -Â A quick turnaround will see Wichita State in action Monday at 11:30 a.m. vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff for the annual Schoolhouse Rocks with the Shocks Kids Game.

Wichita State won its 600th game all time with its 88- 83 win over Oklahoma on Nov. 30, 2019. They became the 10th program in the American Athletic Conference with 600 or more victories. UCF (597) is right on the doorstep to 600 as well - needing only five wins to reach the milestone. Tulsa (351) is the only other active member shy of that mark.
LAST TIME OUT
Wichita State fell to Creighton for the third straight time following a 56-46 loss in Omaha on Saturday. Wichita State shot a season-low 23.6 percent from the field and was held without a three-pointer (0-for-13) for the second time this season. The Shockers' 10 turnovers marked a season low, while forcing Creighton into 19 - a season high for the Bluejays. Wichita State was outrebounded by 10 - the second most this season. At the free throw line, Wichita State converted 20-of-23, the second game this season shooting 87.0 percent or better.
Mariah McCully registered her third straight game in double figures with a team-high 14 points. McCully also swiped a career-high six steals.
SCOUTING THE LADY LIONS
Arkansas-Pine Bluff is off to an 0-7 start in 2019-20 with all seven contests coming away from home. The Lady Lions have faced a challenging non-conference slate that has included matchups with Coastal Carolina, Milwaukee, Illinois, Tennessee, Iowa State, Washington State and Arkansas State. Following the game at Wichita State, UAPB travels to Texas Tech before its first home game on Dec. 29 vs. Philander Smith College. Kyeonia Harris and Aiya El Hassan average a team-high 9.3 points per game, while Harris also leads Arkansas-Pine Bluff in assists and steals. Harris' 34.72 minutes per game tops all players in the SWAC. The one area Arkansas-Pine Bluff excels at is creating turnovers. The Lady Lions rank 46th nationally in steals per game and 68th in turnovers forced.

A season ago,
Carla Bremaud led the Shockers in scoring and was selected for the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team, becoming the first freshman to lead Wichita State in scoring for a season since Kiki Stephens in 2004-05. Now a sophomore,
Bremaud will look to carry that momentum into 2019-20, while also coming off a summer with the French U20 National Team.

BIG WEEK LANDS MCCULLY ON HONOR ROLL
Mariah McCully picked up her first career weekly honor after scoring a career-high 25 points vs. Eastern Michigan on Dec. 7. McCully, a Grand Rapids, Mich. native, averaged 19.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals on 43.8 percent shooting in Wichita State's two games during the week. She opened the week with a then-career high 13 points against No. 18 Missouri State, and finished in a big way. She poured in a career-best 25 points on 8-of-18 shooting, while adding a career-high three steals in the win over EMU.
MAKE IT RAIN
Wichita State poured in 12 three-pointers in only 22 attempts in its victory over Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 30. The 12 made three-pointers are the most in a single game since Dec. 30, 2006, when the Shockers made 12-of-24 against Evansville. The school record for made triples in a single game is 14, which was set in 1999. Wichita State has made 10 or more three-pointers only four times between 2006 and Nov. 30, 2019.
OU LEFTOVERS
Wichita State's win over Oklahoma on Nov. 30 was the program's first win against a Big 12 opponent and Power 5 member since Dec. 12, 2014, when the Shockers defeated in-state rival, Kansas State, 51-48 in Charles Koch Arena. That same season Wichita State also recorded wins against Clemson (ACC) and Ohio State (Big Ten).

Trajata Colbert. Selected by their teammates, the trio will be looked upon to lead the Shocker basketball program for the remainder of the campaign.
THE SERIES VS. ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF
Wichita State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff have met on the hardwood seven times dating back to the first matchup in 2002. The Shockers are a perfect 7-0 all-time vs. the Lady Lions with all seven contests coming in Wichita. All seven wins have come by double digits.
LAST MEETING
Wichita State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff met in the 2018-19 season opener that saw the Shockers come out with a 76-39 win in Charles Koch Arena. The Shocker defense held UAPB to 27.8 percent shooting, 5-of-19 from long range, 22 turnovers and outrebounding the Lady Lions by 25.
Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage scored a career-high 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while
Jada Peacock knocked down three triples for 11 points.
Seraphine Bastin added nine points and six assists.
ABOUT THE LADY LIONS
Located in Pine Bluff, Ark., the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff has an enrollment of 2,821 as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Arkansas-Pine Bluff returns six letterwinners and two starters off last year's squad that finished 5-20 and 2-16 in the SWAC. Arkansas-Pine Bluff was picked to finish 10th in the SWAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Head Coach Dawn Brown is in her first season leading the Lady Lions. Brown, who won the 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament Championship while leading Prairie View A&M University and is a former SWAC student-athlete, landed at UAPB after spending the previous season as associate head coach at Jacksonville University of the Atlantic Sun Conference. In 2017-18, Brown was head coach at Division II Shorter University of the Gulf South Conference. Brown spent six seasons at Prairie View A&M (2010-16) as a part of the winningest era in program history. As an assistant coach, the Lady Panthers won SWAC Tournament Championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013, advancing to the NCAA Tournament every year.

Wichita State packs its bags for the tropical paradise of Puerto Rico where the Shockers will face Montana State (Dec. 20) and Virginia Tech (Dec. 21) in the Puerto Rico Coqui Classic.
