NORMAN, Okla. – Going into day two at the central regional, the Wichita State men's tennis team will have six players in the round of 64 in singles, and one doubles team competing in the round of 16.

The Shockers picked up five wins on their first day in Norman, Oklahoma.

In doubles, the pairing of Elio Lago and Orel Ovil found success as they advanced to the round of 16 with a victory over a team from the University of Nebraska Omaha, 8-4. Zach Grueber and Rafael Serra battled their way to a win in the round of 64 against a duo from Arkansas, 8-1.

Alex Richards and Lago shined in singles coming away with one win each, against players from Oral Roberts University, 6-3, 6-2, and Drake University, 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-2, respectively.
