STILLWATER- No. 13 Oklahoma State struck early and knocked off 35th-ranked Wichita State, 4-0, Friday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
 
DOUBLES
Wichita State got on the board early in flight three, where Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Gabriela Porubin knocked off Megan McCray and Shir Hornung (6-1). The Cowgirls answered back with wins on court one and two to claim the doubles point. Marina Guinart and Katarina Stresnakova dropped Ting-Ya Hsu and Giulia Guidetti (6-3), followed by 16th-ranked Vladica Babic and Sofia Blanco defeating Fatima Bizhukova and Marta Bellucco in a close on (7-5).
 
SINGLES
Coming into the match with four ranked singles players, Oklahoma State started strong to take down Wichita State. No. 96 Guinart of Oklahoma State defeated Bellucco (6-3, 6-3) on court four. Sofia Blanco took down Porubin (6-3, 6-2) to push the Oklahoma State lead to 3-0. No. 24 Vladica Babic finished the match in flight one, taking down 68th-ranked Bizhukova (6-0, 7-5). Honigova led a set (7-6) and was up 4-3 in the second on No. 42 McCray in flight two, and Guidetti trailed 87th-ranked Stresnakova 6-4, 5-5 before going unfinished.
 
Wichita State will return to action Sunday at 12 p.m. for a match with No. 44 Oklahoma in Norman.
