2015-16 (Sophomore)
MVC Player of the Year in 2016 and All-MVC at No. 1 Singles… Ranked as high as No. 71 in the Oracle/ITA Division I Singles Rankings (Jan. 5) and finished at No. 104… Earned the MVC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Individual Singles Championships (just the fifth in program history). In the first round, had an early set point on the tournament’s No. 7 seed, Luisa Stefani of Pepperdine (an eventual semifinalist) but fell 7-5, 6-3… Finished the spring season at 26-11 (15-5 at No. 1 singles)… Compiled a 4-4 record against nationally-ranked foes, with three of those coming against top-60 opponents… Defeated No. 51 Lynn Kiro (Texas Tech) in her fall opener, 6-7, 6-1, 7-6… Took down No. 58 Rachel Pierson (Texas Tech), 6-4, 6-1 in a narrow 4-3 loss to Texas A&M in late January… Helped WSU defeat No. 23 Kansas with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 comeback win over Anastasiya Rychagova on Feb. 26… Won a season-high 11-straight decisions from Feb. 22 through the end of the regular season... Earned a pre-qualifying spot in the ITA All-American Championships in early October and won her debut before falling to Pepperdine’s Stefani (her spring NCAA first round opponent), 0-6, 4-6… Reached the Round of 16 at the ITA Central Region Championships with three-straight wins before falling to eventual NCAA Individual qualifier Saana Saarteinen of Tulsa… Reeled off three wins to begin the fall season to reach the finals of the OU Fall Invite’s top draw but settled for a runner-up finish. ///// Doubles: Teamed with Julia Schiller for the second-straight year, going 23-10 (14-7 at No. 1 doubles)… The duo finished No. 75 in the ITA national rankings… Porubin/Schiller were also ranked for four weeks during the regular season, debuting at No. 74 on March 22 before falling out of the rankings on April 19… The pair went 47-18 over two seasons together... Lost to TCU’s top team in the finals of the OU Fall Invite but turned the tables in a May rematch with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles in the first round of the NCAA Team Championships… Over the summer of 2016, teamed with Schiller to win the Missouri Valley Sectional in the US Open National Playoffs…
2014-15 (Freshman)
Was an immediate contributor as a freshman, playing her way up to the No. 2 singles spot by the end of the year… Doubled up on all-conference honors, earning first team All-MVC at No. 2 singles and again at No. 2 doubles..  Went 26-6 in singles (8-2 at No. 2 singles and 8-2 at No. 3)… Finished 27-8 in doubles, including 25-7 when partnering with Julia Schiller… Defeated her first nationally-ranked opponent during the fall when she downed Arkansas’ Shannon Hudson (ITA No. 121) in three sets… Teamed with Schiller for a big doubles win over Georgia Tech in the NCAA Tournament, helping WSU lock up an early point… Won a team-best 16-straight matches to close out the regular season… Wins 14 and 15 in that stretch came at the close of the regular season against the MVC’s second and third-place teams to help the Shockers nail down the regular season conference title… For her efforts, she was named MVC Player of the Week (Apr. 21)… 15 of the 16 wins in the streak came in straight-sets… Won an MVC Individual Title at No. 2 singles during the Fall… Notched two wins to reach the Round of 16 at the ITA Central Region Championships… Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for both the Fall and Spring Semesters…
